Minimally invasive robotic surgery

When possible, our surgeons use advanced robotic technology that helps them operate with greater precision and control. This means our surgeons can perform extremely complex operations through small incisions using thin instruments. These instruments are controlled from a console directly next to the patient, providing a magnified view of the surgical site.

Robotic surgery offers patients:

  • Fewer complications
  • Less harm to surrounding tissue
  • Less postoperative pain
  • Quicker recuperation
  • Reduced blood loss
  • Reduced scarring
  • Shorter hospital stays

We offer the following procedures using robot-assisted surgery:

  • Drainage of pleural effusion
  • Lobectomy
  • Lung biopsy, including robot-assisted broncoscopy
  • Mediastinal, pericardial and thymic procedures
  • Wedge resection
